Ahror Sodikov, the head of the Kashkadarya regional administration's press service reports that a total of 24 students graduated from the presidential school in Karshi, 18 of which managed to secure admission to higher educational institutions abroad even before completing their studies.
The presidential school in Karshi organized a farewell ceremony, known as the "last bell event," under the theme "Appreciate science, pursue science." Murodjon Azimov, the governor of the region, participated in the memorable evening of students bidding farewell to the beloved school and teachers and extended congratulations to the young individuals who represent the future of the country as they embark on a new phase of life.
Addressing the parents, Azimov expressed his wishes for their children's success and bright future, emphasizing the importance of investing in their education to cultivate capable individuals who will contribute to the well-being of the nation.
During the event, it was highlighted that the presidential school in Karshi receives an overwhelming number of applicants for limited available slots. On average, 150-170 candidates compete for a single spot in the entrance exams.
Azimov provided further details about the school, stating that it accommodates 167 students in a modern and visually appealing facility that adheres to international standards. The school is equipped with classrooms, laboratories, IT rooms, outdoor and indoor sports fields, a swimming pool, and a dormitory with 168 beds.
In terms of the teaching staff, 29 local teachers and 7 foreign teachers (hailing from the Philippines, Kenya, South Africa, and the United Kingdom) deliver lessons based on the state educational standards for general secondary education and the adapted programs of the Cambridge International Assessment Organization.
18 graduates of the school were fortunate enough to secure early admission to higher educational institutions, with 7 of them gaining acceptance to top-ranked institutions worldwide. Furthermore, all of these graduates have obtained international language proficiency certificates.
