A 14-year-old boy named Kairan Quazi has been recruited by SpaceX, the satellite communications and spacecraft company owned by Elon Musk.
The Los Angeles Times reports that Quazi, who recently graduated from Santa Clara University's engineering school, has joined SpaceX as a software engineer.
The boy has gained recognition for his exceptional intellectual abilities. He began speaking in full sentences at the age of two and, by the time he was nine, he had surpassed the curriculum of his peers and started studying at a college level.
In his role at SpaceX, Quazi will be focusing on the development of Starlink, the satellite internet project. Despite his remarkable talent, Quazi still enjoys activities typical of his age, such as playing video games and reading science fiction books.
