President Shavkat Mirziyoyev of the Republic of Uzbekistan, currently on an official visit to Italy, traveled from Rome to Milan, where he was warmly received by the authorities of the Lombardy region at Malpensa Airport.
On June 8, he met with Italian president, Sergio Mattarella and Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni to discuss the strengthening of relations between the two nations and to establish and cultural and heritage exchange. He also met with FAO Director General Sui Dunyuy where they discussed priority areas such as the modernization of the Uzbek agricultural sector and ensuring food security in the region.
