The high-class dermatologists and cosmetologists from the USA, Germany, UK, Israel and Turkey arrived in Astana to participate in a two-day Eurasian Congress of Dermatology, Cosmetology and Aesthetic Medicine, Khabar 24 reports.
The VIII Congress will discuss the methods of non-contact diagnostics of malignant and benign skin diseases. Before the start of the Congress, Kazakh doctors, together with colleagues from Uzbekistan and Kyrgyzstan, completed three training courses: minor invasive surgeries, biopsy and suturing.
The organizer of the event, Astana Medical University, signed a memorandum with the Ferghana Institute of Public Health.
Gulnar Batkenova, President of the Kazakhstan Society of Dermatovenereologists and Dermatocosmetologist said that there are a lot of skin diseases, especially among children which wasn’t the case before. I think that today's congress will provide a lot of opportunities, especially for young professionals.
“I know that dermatopathology is very developed in Ferghana, this is what we want to develop in Kazakhstan,” Batkenova noted.
Raimonds Karls, Vice-President of the Latvian Association of Aesthetic Laser Surgery: “I think Kazakhstan keeps pace with the whole world of dermatology, dermato-oncology, especially in the early diagnosis of tumours. As a representative of the Baltic States, I am gaining experience in how to work with the skin of Asians. And when they come to me, I say "I know your skin!".
