A recent study conducted among 819 women in Uzbekistan reveals that 85% of women in the country consider themselves happy, according to Manija Bahriyeva, the head of the Information Service of the "Family and Women" research institute.
The study, titled "Life goals, values, and directions of women," was conducted by the Research Institute of Family and Women between February and April 2023, surveying women aged 18 to 55 in six regions of the country.
The research found that women attribute their happiness to factors such as peace, family well-being, stability, having children, sincere relationships within the family, and mutual care among loved ones. In rural areas, a significant number of women primarily identify themselves as mothers (40.9%) and wives (27.3%).
Additionally, the study revealed that 68.3% of the surveyed women prioritize the value of human health, although 16% of respondents do not consider it their top priority.
