An incident was reported on social media regarding the discovery of a burnt body in the Bogishamol area of Andijan City, and the prosecutor's office of the Andijan region has recently issued an official statement regarding the matter.
Investigations revealed that on May 9, a 37-year-old individual from India approached a 21-year-old Indian female student studying at the Andijan State Medical Institute with the intention of marriage. After the girl declined the proposal, the individual expressed his despair to other Indian students, stating that life had lost its meaning. Subsequently, he set himself on fire using an unknown liquid on a hill within the Babur recreation park, resulting in his immediate death.
Preliminary findings from the forensic medical examination indicate no signs of external injuries or internal trauma on the deceased's body. Forensic medical, chemical, and biological examinations have been initiated to gather additional evidence.
A criminal case has been opened under Article 103, Part 1 of the Criminal Code, which pertains to actions leading to the suicide of another person.
