The case of a man who raped and then killed a 12-year-old girl in Yangihayat district of Tashkent city was sent to court, head of the press service of the Prosecutor General's Office,Hayat Shamsutdinov informs.
"The criminal case related to the murder of a 12-year-old girl committed in Yangihayat district has been sent to the court for substantive consideration with the indictment," the report said.
The body of a 12-year-old girl was found in Yangihayat district with signs of rape and murder on January 31. The prosecutor's office of Yangihayot district issued the Criminal Code, Article 97, Part 2, clauses "v, z" (intentional killing person in a vulnerable state with dishonor or unnatural satisfaction of sexual needs by force) was initiated.
The suspect in the criminal case (29-year-old man) was detained in accordance with Article 221 of the Criminal Procedure Code. The suspect was reportedly a hired worker in the house of the deceased in the summer months of 2022.
The Department of Family and Women of the city of Tashkent addressed parents of schoolchildren, noting that parents should accompany their children them to and from school and always be in touch with them.
