Deputy Minister of Employment and Poverty Reduction Erkin Mukhitdinov and Minister of Labor and Social Protection of Kazakhstan Akmadi Sarbasov inked an action plan for the implementation of the intergovernmental agreement "On labor activity and protection of the rights of migrant workers who are citizens of the Republic of Uzbekistan" following the 19th meeting of the Joint Intergovernmental Commission on Bilateral Cooperation.
The document provides for the study of the registration procedure of employment of citizens of Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan in the territory of the two countries by automating business processes of migration flows.
In addition, the document allows for the exchange of legislative and other regulatory acts in employment and labor relations. Introduce mechanisms for mutual recognition of medical certificates of migrant workers while considering the advisability of integrating the databases of Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan in labor migration.
Besides, it is possible to hold a regional meeting on labor migration, conduct a study on labor migration and develop proposals to prevent and combat illegal work in the territory of the two countries.
