China does not provide weaponry to any of the sides participating in the Ukrainian crisis, according to Chinese Foreign Minister Qin Gang, Associated Press reports.
He alleviated Western worries that China would send military assistance to Russia, emphasizing that China is impartial in the war. According to Qin Gang, helping Russia politically and economically is a way of establishing equilibrium in the face of "sanctions and isolation of Moscow."
China will supervise dual-purpose goods exports and manage military product exports in line with laws and regulations. Furthermore, China is eager to help resolve the situation peacefully.
On April 13, the Washington Post informed that China has sanctioned the supply of weaponry to Russia, while NATO warned China on April 5 not to supply Russia with military aid. There were claims in March that China was angry with Russia for releasing information regarding Chinese military stockpiles.
