Uzbekistan and the United Arab Emirates increased the number of direct weekly flights to forty-four. This was announced at the meeting between Uzbekistan’s Minister of Investment, Industry, and Trade, Laziz Kudratov, and the Minister of Cabinet Affairs of the United Arab Emirates and the Chairman of the Executive Office of Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, in the Government of Dubai Mohammad Abdullah Al Gergawi, who is in the Central Asian republic on an official visit.
The two sides noted the positive dynamics of mutual trade, the indicators of which increased by half last year. Furthermore, the two ministers emphasized the importance of taking systemic measures to expand the range of mutual supplies further. In this connection, the parties agreed to intensify cooperation in preparing the Strategy for the Development of the Export Potential of Uzbekistan.
The meeting also considered prospects of infrastructure development and the increase of the industrial potential of the two regions. Furthermore, the Emirates appreciated the new stage of reforms to reduce the state’s share in the economy and expressed its readiness to expand cooperation in preparing master plans of cities and regions, considering the development of production capacities and improvement of the municipal sphere.
Besides, the parties agreed on forming a Council for developing cooperation in artificial intelligence.
