Russia's state-owned holding Rusgeology (RosGeo) and Uzbekistan signed a two-year contract for exploration works, the head of the company Sergey Gorkov told the media.
'On Saturday, we signed a new contract with Uzbekistan for RU 1.6bn on 2D and 3D seismic near the Aral Sea—big enough for us, an important contract. The contract is designed for two years, he said.
During the press conference, Gorkov also noted that RosGeo is currently working out contracts with six African countries and will participate in the tender in India. At the same time, the holding is negotiating to participate in projects in the UAE and Iraq.
In June 2020, RosGeo and Uzbekgeophysika, an authorized company of the State Committee of the Republic of Uzbekistan on Geology and Mineral Resources, inked a contract for rendering geological services in the refinement of the geological model, exploration of hydrocarbon potential of the Aral Sea and adjacent territory based on analysis and summarization of archival geological and geophysical data, geochemical studies and basin modeling.
