Foreign Ministers of Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan Rashid Meredov and Bakhtiyor Saidov held political consultations, Turkmenistan television reported.
The two sides agreed that the views and positions of Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan on many international issues and topical regional aspects coincide or are similar.
The interlocutors also spoke about the practicality of making an inventory of treaty legal documents and activating cross-border trade potential.
Turkmen President Serdar Berdimuhamedov received the Uzbek delegation.
"Turkmenistan is invariably committed to trust-based, good-neighborly relations with Uzbekistan, which have centuries-long history," he said, according to the channel.
Turkmenistan has the longest land border with Uzbekistan - about 1,650km.
