March 9. The Cabinet of Ministers of Uzbekistan approved the regulation on the registration of importers of international brand goods.
According to the document, an importer must submit an application to the Ministry of Investments, Industry and Trade along with these documents:
- Documents confirming the ownership of the goods brand or its authorized suppliers;
- Product purchase agreement;
- Documents confirming the quality or safety of goods;
- Information about the country of origin and manufacturer of the goods.
- The application will be considered within 20 working days from the date of receipt. The certificate of inclusion of the applicant and the goods of international brands in the register is issued with a validity period of 1 year.
- The document processing fee is 0.8% of the total sum of each import contract, and VAT is charged to this amount separately. 1.5 million soums will be charged for reissuing the certificate.
