The WR Chess Masters 2023 took place on February 15-26, 2023, at the Hyatt Regency Dusseldorf in Germany.
American Levon Aronian (5.5 points) became the winner at the end of the competition between the ten strongest grandmasters in the world.
The representative of Uzbekistan, Nodirbek Abdusattarov, also participated in this competition and won 4 points.
During the tournament, the Uzbekistani grandmaster defeated Andrey Yesipenko and played a draw against Jan Nepomnyashi, Wesley So, Dommaraju Gukesh, Rameshbabu Pragnanandha, Anish Giri and Jan-Krzysztof Duda. He lost matches against Levon Aronian and Vincent Keymer.
After this competition, Abdusattarov lost 2.8 points in the FIDE rating but maintained his 18th place.
