A delegation of Indologists from Uzbekistan successfully participated in the XII World Hindi Conference, which was held in the Republic of Fiji on February 15-17, the press service of Uzbekistan's Ministry of Higher Education, Science, and Innovations has reported.
The event brought together Indologists from twenty-five countries, including the head of the department of the Tashkent State University of Oriental Studies, Ph.D. Nilufar Khodjaeva. She received the Vishva Hindi Samman (Pride of the Indian World) award for her outstanding contribution to developing the Hindi language in Uzbekistan.
Earlier, this award was granted to the diplomat and Indologist Fatih Teshabov (1999), Indologist Professor Ozod Shomatov (2003), and Indologist Professor Ulfat Mukhibova (2007).
