The head of the press service of the Tax Committee, Dildora Hoshimova, said that the taxes paid in Uzbekistan reached a total amount of 148.4 trillion soums in 2022.
- property tax - 4 trillion soums (63% increase compared to last year);
- land tax - 5.3 trillion soums (30% increase compared to last year);
- turnover tax - 2.5 trillion soums (52% increase compared to last year);
- value added tax - 32.8 trillion soums (28% increase compared to last year);
- personal income tax - 24.3 trillion soums (28% increase compared to last year).
The number of value-added tax (VAT) payers reached 175,604 as of January 1, 2023, an increase of 32,693 compared to last year. From January 1 this year, the VAT rate has been reduced from 15% to 12%.
