Shavkat Mirziyoyev has signed the decree to dismiss Vladimir Norov from the post and appoint Bakhtiyor Saidov as the new Minister of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan.
According to the press secretary of the President, Norov was released from this position due to his transfer to another job.
Bakhtiyor Saidov was appointed acting Minister of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan.
Bakhtiyor Saidov has been the head of the Ministry of Public Education since November 2021. Until then, he worked as the ambassador of Uzbekistan to China.
At the end of April 2022, Abdulaziz Komilov, who took the position of the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan by the relevant decrees of the President, was appointed to the position of Deputy Secretary of the Security Council under the President for foreign policy and security issues. Vladimir Norov was appointed to the position of the first deputy minister of foreign affairs of Uzbekistan and was entrusted with the duties of the minister of foreign affairs of Uzbekistan. In September, Vladimir Norov was confirmed as the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan.
