Uzbekistan’s Foreign Ministry took the news of the untimely death of Belarusian Foreign Minister Vladimir Makei with deep regret, the governmental body said in a statement.
‘Vladimir Vladimirovich was a skilled and experienced diplomat, a high professional in his area, and a candid patriot of Belarus. We especially note his sincere will to develop Uzbek-Belarusian relations of multifaceted cooperation. In recent years, he had made a significant contribution to strengthening amicable ties between Uzbekistan and Belarus. We will keep a good and bright memory of him,’ the government department noted.
The Foreign Minister of Belarus passed away on Saturday (November 26) at the age of 64. Following the preliminary data, the cause of death was a heart attack.
