Uzbekistan and China intend to run joint scientific archeological research to ensure cultural heritage protection. This is stipulated by the memorandum between the Silk Road International University of Tourism and Cultural Heritage in Samarkand, Uzbekistan, and Northwest University in Xi'an, China.
Cooperation in the scientific area is believed to help both countries gain more knowledge on human resources and the environment. Besides, the document aims at enhancing collaboration and creating an academic bridge for the free movement of students and teachers of Uzbek and Chinese universities.
Technical assistance will be provided by the Ministry of Science and Technology of China, which is considered to be the leading international research hub for gifted students.
Uzbekistan has already implemented measures to restore a full-fledged system of restoring cultural heritage objects. The local specialists are greatly assisted by their Chinese colleagues with extensive experience in antiquities.
