Uzbek President sent his condolences to Recep Tayyip Erdogan in connection with the death and serious injuries of many people as a result of the explosion on Istiklal Street in Beyoglu district of Istanbul, Turkey, the press service of the president informs.
The explosion in Istanbul's Beyoglu district took lives at least six people and injured 81 that happened on November 13 around 16:20 (18:20 Tashkent time) and was intended to inflict pedestrians - one of the most popular places among tourists, near Taksim Mosque.
The suspect who planted the bomb in the street was soon arrested, and he is believed to be connected to the Kurdistan Workers' Party (KIP), which Ankara considers a terrorist organization.
It was also known that an Uzbek national is also among the injured.
