Wizz Air, Hungarian airline, will connect Abu Dhabi and Tashkent with direct flights, the press service of Uzbekistan Airports reports.
The first passenger flight is scheduled for January 25, 2023. Flights are carried out on Airbus A320 and A321 planes three times a week - on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays.
Starting from December 13, Wizz Air plans to launch flights to Samarkand airport twice a week - on Tuesdays and Saturdays.
According to the "Ozaviatsiya" agency, the airliner will fly between Abu Dhabi-Tashkent based on the agreement between the government of Uzbekistan and the government of the United Arab Emirates on air traffic, on August 30.
Wizz Air is a low-cost Hungarian airline headquartered in Budapest. In September 2021, it was reported that the airline was interested in starting flights from Budapest to Tashkent, Bukhara and Samarkand.
