Shavkat Mirziyoyev met with the Chairman of the Upper Chamber of the Parliament of Turkmenistan, Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, as part of his official visit to Turkmenistan.

The meeting covered a wide range of bilateral, regional, and international cooperation issues, according to the President's press service.
Mirziyoyev emphasized the importance of the large-scale reforms initiated by Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov for building a strong Turkmenistan.
"Turkmenistan is rapidly developing today based on national unity and historical and cultural traditions. It is highly recognized worldwide," he stated.
Berdimuhamedov said he contributed to the strengthening of friendly relations between the brotherly countries and people, bringing them to the level of deep strategic partnership.
Uzbekistan-Turkmenistan relations have been regarded as a good example of interstate partnership without any mutual disagreements.

It was noted that dialogue between the parliaments is the most important factor in bringing our people closer together.
"To monitor the implementation of the agreements reached the highest level, we should effectively use the potential of inter-parliamentary cooperation from now on," said Shavkat Mirziyoyev.

At the end of the meeting, Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov presented Shavkat Mirziyoyev with a puppy of the Alabai breed, which is especially valued by the Turkmen people.
