Finland’s flag carrier, Finnair, plans to launch flights from Scandinavian countries to Uzbekistan, Dunyo News Agency reports.
Uzbekistan’s embassy in Latvia, the Ministry of Transport, the Ministry of Investments and Foreign Trade of Uzbekistan, Uzbekistan Airports and Finland's Finnair airline held an online meeting where the latter expressed its interest in carrying out passenger and cargo code-shared flights with Uzbekistan Airways.
The representatives of the Ministry of Transport noted that they fully support the proposals of foreign airlines to launch new flights to Uzbekistan. At the end of the meeting, the parties defined the tasks to be implemented in the future within the discussed areas of cooperation.
Scandinavia is a subregion in Northern Europe, with strong historical, cultural, and linguistic ties between its constituent peoples. In broader terms, it comprises Finland, Iceland, Greenland and some minor islands.
