The delegation led by the governor of the Tashkent region Zoir Mirzayev met with representatives of big companies in South Korea and the United Arab Emirates in Seoul and Inchon, Dunyo news agency reports.
Choi Mun Gyu, executive director of Hanshin Engineering & Construction, and Mirzayev discussed the possibilities of construction of high-rise buildings, hotels and commercial in the "Nurafshon Business City" and "Smart Medical City Cluster".
The parties signed a memorandum signed between South Korean and UAE companies on the establishment of "Tashkent Medical Smart" in the Tashkent region. The cost of the project is about 2 billion dollars.
Hanshin Engineering & Construction Co., Ltd. was founded in 1950 as a housing construction company and later engaged in architecture, construction, electricity and crop production.
The Uzbek delegation also held talks with Kim Chang Keon, the first deputy chairman of the South Korea-Uzbekistan business association. During the dialogue, they established cooperation in areas such as "Angren SEZ", "Chorvoq TIZ", "Chirchik-Khimgrad", "Bostonliq Farm", "Parkent Farm" free economic zones in the region, construction and creativity in Nurafshon city.
At the end of the meeting, a memorandum on the implementation of the $500 million "Nurafshon New Korea Business City" project was signed between the administration of the Tashkent region and the company "Tashkent Development Corp" of the Republic of Korea.
