Uzbekistan’s services sector showed robust growth in the first eleven months of 2025, with the total volume of market-provided services reaching UZS 916 trillion ($91.6bn). This represents a 14.6% increase compared to the same period in 2024, when the sector’s volume was UZS 735.6 trillion ($73.6bn).

Over the past five years, Uzbekistan’s services market has demonstrated steady and substantial growth. In 2021, the total volume of services reached UZS 257.2 trillion ($25.7bn), increasing to UZS 329.3 trillion ($32.9bn) in 2022, UZS 574.8 trillion ($57.5bn) in 2023, and UZS 735.6 trillion ($73.6bn) in 2024.

This long-term upward trend highlights the resilience and diversification of the sector, encompassing trade, transport, communications, financial services, hospitality, and other market-provided services.

In parallel with services sector growth, Uzbekistan is aiming to increase its export volume to $45bn by 2030, with a strategy focused on entering new, higher-margin markets beyond its traditional trading partners.

A recent government analysis pointed to strong growth potential in sectors such as building materials, light industry, electrical engineering, food production, household chemicals, mechanical engineering, and metals - industries that rely heavily on efficient logistics, financial, and trade-related services.

On December 1, President Shavkat Mirziyoyev reviewed proposals aimed at strengthening export performance and simplifying entrepreneurs’ access to public services. The discussion highlighted the importance of expanding preferential trade agreements, deepening economic cooperation with promising partner countries, and upgrading border and customs infrastructure to support rising trade volumes and service demand.
