Uzbekistan will increase pensions, social benefits, public-sector wages, student stipends, and several key social payment benchmarks under a presidential decree signed on June 23.
According to information released by the Ministry of Justice, pensions and social benefits will increase by 7% starting July 1, while salaries of employees of state-funded organizations and student stipends will rise by 7% beginning September 1.
Pension and benefit increases from July 1
The decree raises a number of pension and social support payments. The minimum old-age pension will increase from UZS 918,000 ($76.26) to UZS 983,000 ($81.66) per month. The minimum disability pension will rise from UZS 1.012mn ($84.06) to UZS 1.083mn ($89.96).
The base amount used for pension calculations will also increase from UZS 471,000 ($39.12) to UZS 504,000 ($41.87) per month.
Payments provided to low-income households through social assistance programs will also be adjusted upward. Child benefits for families receiving social support will increase as follows:
- Children under three years of age: from UZS 360,000 ($29.9) to UZS 386,000 ($32.06) per month;
- Children aged three to 18 years: from UZS 275,000 ($22.84) to UZS 295,000 ($24.5);
- Additional payment for a second child: from UZS 165,000 ($13.71) to UZS 177,000 ($14.7);
- Additional payment for a third and each subsequent child: from UZS 110,000 ($9.14) to UZS 118,000 ($9.8).
Monthly financial assistance provided to low-income families will increase from UZS 420,000 ($34.89) to UZS 450,000 ($37.38).
The 7% increase will also apply to benefits paid to families included in the Social Registry system.
Wage and stipend increases from September 1
Beginning September 1, salaries of employees working in public organizations and student stipends will increase by 7%.
The minimum monthly wage will rise from UZS 1.271mn ($105.58) to UZS 1.36mn ($112.97).
The Basic Calculation Value (BCV), which is used to calculate fines, state duties, fees, taxes, and other fixed payments, will increase from UZS 412,000 ($34.22) to UZS 440,000 ($36.55).
The latest increase follows a similar adjustment implemented in 2025. Under last year's decree, pensions and social benefits increased by 10% from July 1, while wages in public organizations and student stipends were raised by 10% from August 1.
