President Mirziyoyev visits Russia to participate in Supreme Eurasian Economic Council meeting
President of Uzbekistan, Shavkat Mirziyoyev, embarked on a significant business visit to Moscow, Russia on May 8. The purpose of the visit, in accordance with the outlined program, encompasses various crucial engagements aimed at fostering bilateral ties and commemorating historical milestones, presidential press service reported.
Upon his arrival at Vnukovo International Airport, President Mirziyoyev was warmly received by high-ranking officials, including the Deputy Chairman of the Government of the Russian Federation, Acting Minister of Industry and Trade Denis Manturov, alongside other dignitaries.
Central to the itinerary is his participation in the anniversary meeting of the Supreme Eurasian Economic Council, a pivotal platform for regional economic cooperation. Additionally, the President will partake in ceremonial events marking the 79th anniversary of the victory in the Second World War, underscoring the shared history and sacrifices of both nations during this monumental period.
