Uzbekistan citizens made over 2.2mn tourist trips abroad between January and April 2026, according to data released by the National Statistics Committee, with neighboring Central Asian countries remaining the most popular destinations.
Official figures showed that 2.2mn citizens traveled overseas during the first four months of the year. That was an increase of nearly 83,700 trips compared with the same period in 2025.
Kyrgyzstan remained the leading destination for Uzbek travelers, receiving 899,004 visitors from Uzbekistan during the reporting period. Tajikistan followed with 388,452, while Kazakhstan ranked third with 354,859.
Among destinations outside Central Asia, Saudi Arabia recorded the highest number of arrivals from Uzbekistan at 138,113, followed by Russia with 115,094 and Turkiye with 70,340.
The United Arab Emirates welcomed 31,073 travelers from Uzbekistan, while China received 23,557 visitors. Rounding out the top 10 were Thailand with 16,291 and Egypt with 15,823 travelers.
The latest figures point to continued growth in outbound tourism from Uzbekistan, with neighboring countries accounting for the largest share of travel while demand for religious tourism and longer-haul international destinations also remains strong.
The latest outbound tourism figures come as travel activity in and out of Uzbekistan continues to grow.
Earlier, the National Statistics Committee reported that more than 4mn foreign tourists visited Uzbekistan in the first four months of 2026, pointing to rising international travel flows across the country.
During the same period, migration activity also remained active. According to official data, 721 people moved to Uzbekistan for permanent residence in the first quarter of the year, with Russia accounting for the largest share of arrivals.
