The total volume of sales of motor vehicles across all categories in Uzbekistan reached 101,100 units in November 2025, as per to an analysis by the Center for Economic Research and Reforms.
This figure represents a 6% increase compared to the same period last year. Regional data show that the highest growth rates in passenger car sales were recorded in Tashkent city, where sales rose by 33.7% year-on-year, and in the Republic of Karakalpakstan, which reported an 8% increase.
Primary Automobile Market In the primary market, sales of passenger cars increased by 15% year-on-year, amounting to approximately 4,400 more units than in November 2024. Sales of new domestically produced passenger cars totaled around 30,000 units, reflecting a 13.6% increase compared to the same month last year. Sales of new passenger cars manufactured abroad reached approximately 5,000 units, marking a 22.5% year-on-year increase.
Secondary Automobile Market In the secondary market, around 52,000 used passenger cars were sold in November, which is 8% lower than in the same period last year. Despite the overall decline, sales activity in Tashkent city increased significantly. Used car sales in the capital rose by 1.4 times, with 3,400 more vehicles sold compared to November of the previous year. Sales of electric vehicles in the secondary market also increased, rising by 1.8 times year-on-year.
Overall Market Trends
By the end of October 2025, sales of all types of motor vehicles in Uzbekistan had reached 112,500 units. Sales activity increased across all major segments of the automobile market during this period.
As per to data from the National Statistics Committee, the number of vehicles owned by individuals in Uzbekistan has continued to grow. As of October 1, 2025, a total of 4,725 vehicles owned by citizens were registered nationwide. Passenger cars accounted for 92.9% of this total. The number of registered vehicles increased by 415,300 compared to the same period last year.
