Uzbekistan's Uzcard payment system has vital financial gains for the year 2023, demonstrating robust performance in its operations. As per to Kapital Deposit, an investment company, Uzcard achieved a net profit of $51.6mn, marking a 47.2% increase compared to the previous year.
During the same period, Uzcard's revenue rose by 43.4% to reach $77.8mn, showcasing its expanding market presence and increased transaction volumes. The company's assets also grew by 26.1%, amounting to $43.5mn by the end of the fiscal year.
In October 2022, the Uzbek government sold 75% of its stake in Uzcard to four existing co-owners for UZS 210.1bn ($18.9mn), previously holding a 25% share. This strategic move aimed to enhance operational autonomy and strategic decision-making within the company.
