Nomad Insurance, Kazakhstan's premier insurance firm with a "BB+" rating from Standard & Poor's, achieved a milestone by forming a strategic partnership with Berkshire Hathaway Specialty Insurance (BHSI), part of Warren Buffett's Berkshire Hathaway.
BHSI, a key player in the insurance and reinsurance sectors, has a turnover exceeding almost $75bn (about KZT 34 trillion). The company is discerning in its partnerships, collaborating with only one insurance partner in each of the 178 countries it operates in. Founded in 2008, BHSI employs over 1,000 people worldwide and is headquartered in Omaha, Nebraska.
Warren Buffett, the "Oracle of Wall Street," serves as the Chairman and CEO of Berkshire Hathaway. Founded in 1889, Berkshire Hathaway has grown into a leading investment company under Buffett's leadership, with a portfolio that includes shares in notable brands such as Coca-Cola, Apple, American Express, and Bank of America.
Through this partnership, BHSI clients with operations in Kazakhstan can now access the comprehensive insurance services provided by Nomad Insurance, covering all activities authorized by the company's license.
