Ramzan Kadyrov, the leader of Chechnya, arrived in Uzbekistan's Tashkent on May 27 with a delegation to participate in the meeting of the Council of the Regions of Russia and Uzbekistan, which will be attended by the state leaders.
Kadyrov expressed gratitude to Prime Minister of Uzbekistan Abdulla Aripov for the warm welcome and hospitality extended to him and his delegation. He highlighted the special warmth with which Chechens perceive Uzbekistan, noting that the First President of the Chechen Republic, "Hero of Russia Akhmat-Haji Kadyrov", studied there.
Kadyrov conveyed through his Telegram channel that during the meeting, the strategic partnership between the two countries was acknowledged as a result of the strong political commitment from Vladimir Putin and Shavkat Mirziyoyev. Abdulla Aripov also underscored the enduring friendly relations between the two peoples, emphasizing the importance of preserving and further developing them.
