Uzbekistan and Sweden have engaged in discussions regarding the training of textile industry specialists following a virtual meeting between Ambassador Nodir Ganiev of Uzbekistan and Vice-Rector Boros Kim Bolton of Boros University, Dunyo reports.
During the virtual meeting, representatives from Uzbekistan's Uztekstilprom Association and the Institute of Textile and Light Industry deliberated with Boros University officials on potential collaborative ventures. Opportunities for joint projects and programs spanning textiles, fashion, information technology, sustainable development, healthcare, and other relevant sectors were explored and outlined.
Commitment to Cooperation
Following the fruitful discussions, an agreement was reached to deepen collaboration with Boros University, renowned for its Swedish School of Textiles and Swedish School of Library and Information Science. Situated in Boros, the textile hub of Sweden, the university boasts distinguished programs in fashion and management.
As part of its commitment to fostering global academic exchange, Boros University facilitates approximately 200 international students annually through exchange programs spanning one or two semesters. This initiative provides invaluable opportunities for students worldwide to engage with the university's esteemed academic offerings and contribute to the internationalization of education.
