The event boasted a distinguished lineup of speakers, including representatives from the International Telecommunication Union (ITU), key leaders from the Ministry of Digital Development, Innovation, and Aerospace Industry, and personnel from "National Information Technologies." Additionally, governmental delegates from across CIS countries graced the occasion, amplifying the discourse on digital transformation.
One of the focal points of the forum was the unveiling of Kazakhstani digital services, showcasing the nation's prowess in the digital realm. Dr. Cosmas Luckyson Zavazava, Director of the Telecommunication Development Bureau of the ITU, underscored Kazakhstan's commendable progress in digitizing government services. He expressed gratitude towards the Kazakhstani government, particularly Minister Mussin, for spearheading digital initiatives in the region.
Dr. Zavazava highlighted Kazakhstan's leadership in the GovStack program, lauding its over 33 digital documents available through the eGov mobile app and more than 1,200 online public services. He emphasized the importance of regional cooperation in sharing best practices and fostering the reusability of digital public goods to expedite government services tailored to individual country needs.
Earlier collaborative efforts between the Ministry of Digital Development, Innovation, and Aerospace Industry of the Republic of Kazakhstan, "National Information Technologies", the Eurasian Development Bank, and the International Telecommunication Union have laid the groundwork for the GovStack project. This innovative initiative, financed through strategic partnerships, aims to revolutionize e-government across CIS countries.
GovStack is envisioned as a pioneering endeavor to create a cohesive technological platform for e-government implementation across the CIS region. Tailored to accommodate the diverse requirements of participating nations, the platform will be collaboratively developed with local government entities. Its overarching objective is to enhance the quality and accessibility of government services while fostering seamless citizen-state interactions.
The GovStack project holds promise in enhancing the efficiency and transparency of public administration across CIS countries, paving the way for a more digitally inclusive governance landscape.
