Over 4.8 mn mandatory electronic insurance policies were issued in Uzbekistan through a unified automated information system. As of September 1, 2024, all insurance (reinsurance) contracts are required to be registered via this system, which also facilitates the issuance of insurance policies. Dilnoza Sobirova, Head of Information Services at the National Agency for Prospective Projects (NAPP), announced this during a briefing on March 14.
The single interactive portal of state services allows users to verify if the person responsible for an accident is insured. It also guides them on the necessary steps to claim insurance compensation for vehicle damage.
To ease the operations of insurance organizations, the Agency plans to simplify, automate, and format the insurers’ reports in the Unified Information System from January 1, 2025.
For the convenience of insurance service consumers, the “Sugurta Servis” mobile application was launched. This application allows users to send and review traffic accident reports online.
Work is underway to integrate the information systems of the Tax Committee, the Ministry of Transport, the Inspection of Mining, Geology and Industrial Safety, and the Ministry of Construction and Housing and Communal Services. This is due to the low coverage of some types of compulsory insurance.
