As per the data from Uzbekistan’s Statistics Agency, there are 14,199 enterprises with foreign investment operating in the country as of February 1, 2024. This includes 4,675 joint ventures and 9,524 enterprises that are entirely foreign-owned.
Enterprises from Russia are at the forefront with a strong presence of 3,049 establishments. China follows closely with 2,432 enterprises, indicating the growing economic ties and strategic investments between the two countries.
Turkey stands out with 1,901 active enterprises in the Uzbekistan market. Kazakhstan, with its 1,084 enterprises, emphasizes the role of regional cooperation and integration in driving economic progress.
The impact of East Asian economies is also noticeable, with South Korea operating 736 enterprises in Uzbekistan.
While regional players are dominant, countries from further distances also make significant contributions. For example, the United States has 314 enterprises in Uzbekistan, demonstrating enduring economic relationships and shared sectoral interests.
