Rustam Karimjonov, Uzbekistan's Deputy Minister at the Ministry for the Development of ITC, confirmed that a delegation from Uzbekistan is participating in the Web Summit Qatar 2024, thereby strengthening ties with the Qatar IT sector. The Web Summit Qatar 2024 marks the first time such an event has been held in the Middle East. The summit has successfully gathered over 15,000 participants, including 500 investors and 200 speakers from around the world.
The attendees are united by a common goal to innovate and shape the future of technology. The Ministry of ICT, IT PARK Uzbekistan, and over 10 startups, among others, have had the remarkable opportunity to attend this significant event and establish important connections with government, investors, and businesses.
One of the most beneficial aspects of this summit was the chance to network with esteemed leaders from influential organizations such as Invest Qatar, Qatar Investment Authority, Qatar Development Bank, Hamad Bin Khalifa University, Qatar Research, Development and Innovation (QRDI) Council, Gulf Organization for Research and Development (GORD), and other key entities fostering the development of the IT sphere in Qatar and beyond.
These connections hold immense potential for future collaborations and partnerships that will contribute to the growth and advancement of the industry.
A startup from Uzbekistan, IMAN (500 Global w22) reached the final of the Pitch competition. The team, led by Rustam Ro, is hopeful of winning this competition.
The potential for future growth and collaboration is exciting as these connections are nurtured and avenues for fruitful collaborations are explored.
