On October 1 and 2, Uzbekistan's President, Shavkat Mirziyoyev, will travel to Qatar at the invitation of the Emir Sheikh Tamim Bin Hamad Al-Thani.
The visit will include high-level talks and attendance at the opening ceremony of Expo 2023 Doha, Qatar - "Green Desert, the Best Environment."Discussions will revolve around the development and future of Uzbek-Qatari cooperation, as well as current international and regional issues.
Besides, various documents will be signed.
Recently, the Minister of Investment, Industry, and Trade, Laziz Kudratov, visited Qatar to explore large investment projects in the Uzbek economy with Qatari direct investments. Earlier this year, Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani visited Uzbekistan, and the two countries signed 15 documents. Notably, upon his arrival, the Uzbek President introduced a visa-free regime for citizens of Qatar, valid for 30 days.
