Uzbekistan shifts towards bright educational future

Addressing the assembly, President Mirziyoyev highlighted the strategic importance Uzbekistan places on nurturing its human capital and fostering an innovative younger generation.

"Accessible, top-tier education is the cornerstone of poverty eradication, welfare augmentation, and sustainable economic growth,"

remarked the President. Uzbekistan's commitment to this vision is evident in the radical transformations their educational system has undergone.

He proudly shared the country's achievements,

"In just half a decade, we've surged our pre-school education coverage from a mere 21% to an impressive 70%. Similarly, higher education accessibility has soared from 9% to 38%."

By 2030, Uzbekistan envisions an environment where every child can avail preschool education, and half of all secondary school graduates will have the opportunity to pursue higher education.

The President's address at the UN underscores Uzbekistan's unwavering commitment to human rights and the empowerment of its citizenry through education, setting a benchmark for many nations around the globe.

Earlier Daryo reported that on the 32nd anniversary of independence, President Shavkat Mirziyoyev revealed plans to bring in 500 foreign English language specialists to teach in local schools in the upcoming academic year.
