As per the recently published SDG Index rating by the United Nations Sustainable Development Solutions Network, Uzbekistan has exhibited noteworthy progress in its sustainable development goals (SDG).
With a score of 71.1, Uzbekistan has secured the 69th rank out of 166 countries, thus climbing eight positions from its preceding year's rank of 77th with a score of 69.9.
The SDG index report of 2023 highlights Uzbekistan's growth in ten SDGs, including poverty eradication, good health and well-being, quality education, gender equality, clean water and sanitation, industry, innovation and infrastructure, sustainable cities and communities, climate action, peace, justice, and strong institutions, and partnerships for the goals.
Among the Central Asian nations, Kyrgyzstan has secured the 45th position with a score of 74.41, Kazakhstan has secured the 66th position with a score of 71.65, Tajikistan has secured the 85th position with a score of 69.19, and Turkmenistan has secured the 91st position with a score of 68.47.
The progress exhibited by Uzbekistan in the SDG Index represents a promising step towards sustainable development and is a testament to the nation's commitment to achieving its goals.
