A fire broke out at a two-story shopping complex on Ibn Sino Street in Bukhara on August 1, as reported by the Ministry of Emergency Situations.
The incident occurred at 2:05 am and prompted the dispatch of eleven fire and rescue teams and seven specialized vehicles to the scene. By 3:11 am, the fire had been contained.
Some 15 shops within the complex and eight stores belonging to the central dekhkan market of Bukhara were destroyed in the blaze.
No casualties were reported. An investigation is underway to ascertain the cause of the fire.
Daryo reported on July 31 that a fire had broken out in the Yangikurgan district of Namangan, leading to the destruction of a Damas vehicle.
