The Republic of Korea and the Sughd region of Tajikistan consider potential cooperation in agriculture and industry.
Reportedly, Sughd Chairman Rajabboi Ahmadzod met with Tajik Korea Economic Relations Commission member Gong Chung-hoon and his delegation to discuss joint enterprise creation, land development, and labor force attraction to South Korea.
New businesses are established in Sughd annually, and industrial products worth over SM 12bn (nearly $1.1bn) were produced in the first half of 2023.
The two countries could also expand cooperation in investment projects and agricultural crop cultivation, particularly maize.
Gong Chung-hoon expressed the Republic of Korea's readiness to contribute to small and large projects in the Central Asian country.
