Shavkat Mirziyoyev has been invited by Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi to participate in the upcoming Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) summit, the president's press service reports.
The summit, scheduled for July 4, will be conducted via video conference. The agenda of the meeting includes discussions on strengthening cooperation within the SCO, expanding its activities, and addressing urgent matters related to economic cooperation, digital transformation, regional security, cultural and humanitarian spheres, and other priority areas. Decisions are expected to be made by the SCO leaders at the conclusion of the summit.
Kazakhstan is set to assume the chairmanship of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) this summer, following the upcoming online meeting of the SCO Heads of State Council on July 4.
Recently, Vladimir Putin's participation in the summit was also confirmed.
