Uzbekistan has received the fifth batch of "Daklatasvir" medicines from Egypt, known for their effectiveness against Hepatitis C, as part of humanitarian aid provided by the Egyptian government. The delivery was reported by "Dunyo" news agency.
Over 17,000 units of "Daklatasvir" medications are being distributed among patients under the supervision of Uzbekistan's Ministry of Health-affiliated Institute of Virology.
The agreement between the Uzbekistan Ministry of Health and Egypt ensures the free supply of "Daklatasvir" and "Sofosbuvir" medicines for Hepatitis C treatment, with a total value of $4.8 mn. Approximately 800,000 units, weighing nearly 40 tons, will be delivered to Uzbekistan between 2023 and 2024.
Earlier batches of these medications were successfully delivered on April 29, May 6, May 14, May 20, and May 28.
