Davlet Yagshymuradov, a well-known Turkmen athlete among Bellator (USA) fight fans, is starring in the historical saga ""Kurulus: Osman" (Founding: Osman) (Türkiye).
The athlete has taken part in the filming of the third and fourth seasons of the series, which focuses on the founder of the Ottoman Empire. Osman is the son of Ertogrul, a native of Central Asia from the Turkmen tribe of Kayi.
Yagshymuradov scored an impressive victory in March at the Bellator MMA (Bellator Fighting Championships) tournament in California, one of the biggest promotions in the world of combat sports.
He defeated Julius Anglikas of Lithuania by unanimous decision of the judges after three spectacular touchdowns in three five-minute rounds. His record includes the Russian light-heavyweight title at the ACA (Absolute Championship Akhmat) tournament. In total he is credited with 20 wins, 7 losses and 1 draw.
Until recently, he lived in Ukraine, where he obtained his bachelor's degree in Law and Economics from Kharkiv National University of Economics. According to some reports, Yagshymuradov's family moved to Türkiye because of the situation in Ukraine.
