The countries of Central Asia (CA) will submit a joint bid to host the finals of the Asian Cup in 2031 or 2035. This was announced by the President of the Central Asian Football Association (CAFA) Rustami Emomali.
The CAFA President believes that the region boasts strong national teams and can provide all the necessary conditions for holding the championship.
‘The Central Asian region has never had the final part of the Asian Cup. I think that this time has come. We have decided that we will submit a joint bid to host the Asian Cup in 2031 or 2035,” Emomali said.
The President of the Asian Football Confederation, Sheikh Salman bin Ibrahim Al-Khalifa, supported the idea and noted that Central Asia deserved to organize Asia’s most prestigious football competition.
