The Institute of Reproductive Medicine and Genetics has been opened in Tashkent, the press service of the Ministry of Health reports.
A clinical residency will be opened at the institute from 2023-2024, and training of reproductive specialists and obstetricians-gynecologists will begin.
In 2023, the activities of a specialized academic council consisting of foreign specialists will be established. The Academic Council will conduct scientific research in the field of reproduction, embryology, cytology, genetics, as well as award degrees in these areas.
“The training of specialists in these modern specialties is being launched in Uzbekistan for the first time,” the report says.
At present, the birth rate among the population of our country is about 3.2. About 1mn babies are born every year.
