Employees are being forced to vote for the "Initiative Budget" campaign in Uzbekistan, information service of the Senate reports.
The "Initiative Budget" project was launched to engage the public in the formation of the state budget and the socio-economic development of the regions, as well as to expand public participation in solving local problems.
During the past short period, different initiatives are reportedly being carried out within the framework of this project. However, the news is circulating on social networks about forcibly involving some industry representatives in vote collection.
"This issue is being studied in detail by the Commission for Combating Human Trafficking and Forced Labor. More information will be provided on the results. We ask our compatriots who have encountered problems related to forced labor recruitment or who are aware of this situation to contact the hotlines at mk@senat.uz, 1176 and 1092," the message reads.
