President Shavkat Mirziyoyev has participated in the Khorezm Region Council of People's Deputies session, Daryo reports.
The head of state spoke to the governor of the region, Jorabek Rakhimov, regarding the region's potential.
The mayor first announced his plans to ensure employment and increase the population's income. The President gave several tasks to officials in this regard.
In particular, an additional UZS 100bn will be allocated to the UZS 940 bn issued for family business programs by July 1. In addition, a mono-center will be established in the building of the Technical College of Service in Khiva and the Construction Vocational College in Shavat.
Also, by the end of the year, "cooperation centers" will be established on vacant state property in Khanka, Gurlan, Hazorasp, and Koshkopir. In addition, by July 1, micro-centers will be set in 94 neighborhoods where entrepreneurship has developed, and preferential loans of UZS 50bn will be directed to the projects there.
Twenty-eight thousand people will be employed through training in new professions and self-employment.
