After the U-20 Asian Cup-2023 quarter-final matches hosted by Uzbekistan, the semifinalists Iraq, Japan, South Korea, and Uzbekistan have qualified for the 2023 FIFA U-20 World Cup tournament.
The host team – Indonesia will welcome 24 national teams at the 2023 FIFA U-20 World Cup, which will last from May 20 to June 11 of this year.
Asia: Indonesia (host), Iraq, Japan, South Korea, Uzbekistan;
Africa: Gambia, Nigeria, Senegal, Tunisia;
North America: Dominican Republic, Guatemala, Honduras, USA;
South America: Brazil, Colombia, Ecuador, Uruguay;
Oceania: Fiji, New Zealand;
Europe: England, France, Israel, Italy, Slovakia.
The draw which will be held on March 31 has placed Uzbekistan in the third basket:
- First basket: Indonesia (host), Uruguay, USA, France, Senegal, Italy;
- Second basket: England, South Korea, New Zealand, Brazil, Colombia, Ecuador;
- Third basket: Nigeria, Japan, Uzbekistan, Iraq, Honduras, Fiji;
- Fourth basket: Guatemala, Dominican Republic, Gambia, Israel, Slovakia, Tunisia.
